Registration begins May 19 for area teens to participate in Metamorphosis @ Your Library. The insect-themed program will include one week of special events at each library, awards for reading, and showcases new titles that await readers at local Santa Rosa County Libraries.

Teens currently in middle or high school can register to participate in Metamorphosis @ Your Library at www.santarosa.fl.gov/libraries. Participants are encouraged to read an average of 15 minutes a day between June 8 and August 1. Those who keep an online record of minutes read and submit at least one online book review will receive a paperback book and coupon to a local restaurant. Prizes increase as minutes read and reviews increase.

The Santa Rosa County Library System’s Metamorphosis @ Your Library teen summer library program is sponsored by local Friends of the Library groups; Gulf Breeze Pizza Hut; Gulf Breeze Sonic; the Dogwood Drive Pizza Hut in Milton; Milton Whataburger; Oops Alley; Pensacola Pelicans; Ridge Cinema 8; Steve Douglas, State Farm Insurance; and Tiki Island Golf & Games. If your business is interested in providing prizes for this program, please contact Natasha Godwin, Library Coordinator – Special Services at 623-2043.
